Family Child Care Network Specialist 

Kent ISD   

Part Time, Temporary Position

130 days per year, 4 hours per day (20 hours per week)

Temporary Contract March 2025-September 2025

 

The Kent County Family Child Care Network (FCCN) Specialist is responsible for supporting the FCCN Grant Coordinator in operating two FCCNs (Hispanic and License Exempt) through the use of a comprehensive model.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Support the FCCN Grant Coordinator in the planning and implementation of the FCCN Grant at Kent ISD
  2. Assist in facilitating and supporting two family child care networks (one Hispanic and one License Exempt) in Kent County.
  3. Help support and/or facilitate monthly network group and one-on-one coaching meetings to support FCCN members.
  4. Support FCCN members in setting and achieving personal goals related to their business.
  5. Help support regular reporting and data collection.
  6. Assist in tracking implementation and progress of the FCCN work.
  7. Attend all ECIC FCCN grant meetings and TA sessions.

Job Qualifications: 

  1. Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood or related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience working the Early Childhood field.
  3. Bilingual (Spanish)
  4. Knowledge of licensed child care rules, regulations and operations.
  5. Strong collaborative communication skills
  6. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings in diverse community settings.
  7. Ability to work with a diverse group of people.  Possess and can demonstrate an understanding of various cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. 
  8. High level of organization and time management skills, with attention to detail and excellent follow through.
  9. Demonstrated ability to successfully initiate and prioritize workload.
  10. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands efficiently. 
  11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  12. Demonstrated ability to successfully create and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
