Broad Statement of Responsibilities:
The Data & Research Support Specialist will perform a variety of complex duties that support the research and administrative functions of the department. The role will be responsible for communicating survey information, managing correspondence for the team, as well as supporting administrative functions. The Data & Research Support Specialist will also assist in data entry, data collection, research coordination, literature reviews, and other research related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with individuals both externally and internally. This includes but is not limited to: coordinating with team members, liaising with research teams, and managing communication with survey participants.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, and reconciling purchases.
- Organize and maintain databases, files, and records related to research projects, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Coordinate timely data collection activities including survey administration, interviews, focus groups, and evaluations.
- Assist in gathering and organizing data from various sources to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Assist in reviewing and proofreading documents and reports to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to established standards.
- Provide support to the team by conducting background research, literature reviews, and data collection as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and ethical standards in research activities and data management.
- Perform other administrative tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or project leads to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
- Maintain regular and consistent employee attendance.
Education Required:
Must have requisite skills to perform the essential job functions. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, sociology, etc.) preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with school district representatives in different ways.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs and priorities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in research practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with survey platforms preferred (Qualtrics, Google Forms, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with periodic supervision and oversight - demonstrates initiative as a quality contributor.
Salary: Classified Hourly, Grade 6. $27.46 minimum, + depending of education, credentials, and experience.
